Why This Site? What's New?
With all the information on Hale Bopp available on the Internet from both professional astronomers and amateur astronomers, why is there a need for yet another site still?
In brief, what is in the Internet deals with what has been observed so far on a very short part of this orbit of the comet, and it deals with a variety of versions of how this information should best be interpreted. There are heated debates going on with respect to the credibility of both observations and interpretations, but so far there seems to have been no serious attempt to track the comet back through its very extended history in our solar system and beyond.
If we know the probable history of any comet, we are much better able to evaluate what it might do in the future.
About 42 years ago I began an investigation of certain critical aspects of human behaviour and how these were linked to our distant history. Comet Hale-Bopp provides a powerful key to unravel those critical questions that I set out to provide answers for, and it is itself either a critical causal agent or else the fore-runner of a critical causal agent.
