The Original Appearance
An argument can be made, based especially on a stone pictogram from Ireland (Figure 5) and the Ras Shamra texts from Palestine, that the comet Venus was really only the untamed residual of a much larger many headed comet which entered the solar system about 200 000 years BP, and which brought a truly civilized humanity to its knees. But this is another story.
It is to some extent the story of the god Baal (seemingly now the ringed planet Saturn), appearing and usurping the orbit (throne) of another planet god; Baal with his miraculous hammers "Driver" and "Expeller" ie Venus and Mercury), hammers which return to him each time he throws them at an adversary. This is a matter much garbled by past retellings, and it is analysed in some depth in the appendices for those with the interest to read them
Macalister (quoted by Riordan and Daniel 35) once drew attention to a pictograph (rock engraving) on the east orthostat of the entrance to the Knowth chamber (a so-called passage grave) in the valley of the Boyne in Ireland. This communication clearly describes the breaking up and submergence of a land due to planetary and / or other cosmic influence, with attendant fiery debris falling from the sky. The line-up, as seen from Earth, seems to be in a constellation signified by a glyph very like that still used for the constellation of Cancer (though it might, with similar probability, be the constellation of Gemini or Orion).
This engraving (Figure 5) can be broken up into four discrete parts. We will refer to two now, and to the other two under the next topic.
The top section for its full width shows the sun at the left, next the Earth / Moon doublet, then Mars with its two satellites, a traditionally horned Venus (linked to ringed Saturn), a planet (possibly either Neptune or Tiamat) being hammered out of orbit by Venus with its elongated orbit around Saturn, then Jupiter, next a seemingly intrusive or else an orbitally disturbed Saturn with another planet (Mercury) linked to and below it (hammering at a land below. Following Saturn is a squarish and possibly pyramid shaped structure with a tail or train of debris, that includes what may be a minor planetoid (Titan?). After these come the planets Uranus and Neptune (the latter possibly in its new orbit?).
The bottom section, for its full width, evidently depicts the ocean around the broken up land. In the ocean are
The Greeks were regarded by the Egyptian priests as uninformed children with no true concept of antiquity, so Greek mythology must be treated with a certain caution. But Greek mythology recalls a time of cosmic chaos, out of which came the god Uranus. Then Chronus, a son of Uranus, cut off the testicles (eg satellites) of Uranus, and cast them into the sea. Out of the attendant blood (ie haematoid pigment) and the sea was born the goddess known as Venus (or Aphrodite). In this myth we may have a vague remembrance of the severing of the satellites (hammers / testicles) of the intruding god Baal. After this, he apparently became ox-eyed Hera, Queen of Heaven, and consort of Jupiter. It should be noted that an ox is a castrated bull, and it is certainly not female.
Gray 36 quotes cuneiform texts from Ras Shamra in Palestine. They deal with a god Baal who is a Johnny - come- lately amongst the gods and has no palace (or orbit) of his own. He does, however, have a nasty pair of maces which always return to him after he has thrown them (ie he has two major satellites on elongated orbits). Part of the text states:
Then soars and swoops the mace
in the hand of Baal,
Even as an eagle in his fingers.
It smites the head of Prince Sea,
between the eyes of Judge River.
Sea collapses and falls to earth;
His strength is impaired;
His dexterity fails
Baal drives sea away and disperses him.
He annihilates Judge River.
Exultantly Athirat cries out
'Scatter him, O Mighty Baal,
Scatter him, O thou who mountest the clouds
For Prince Sea held us captive,
He held us captive, even Judge River.
It is very hard not to associate the proto-Saturn of the Irish rock engraving with Baal, especially when he attacks Prince Sea (ie Neptune or Tiamat?) and a land on earth referred to as Judge River (ie the original motherland Eden with its river with four heads).
The Ras Shamra texts and the Biblical book of Daniel both indirectly imply a dating of about 200, 000 BP for this event. It was interesting to note that Edgar Cayce (reading 364-4, February 16, 1932) gives a time of about 200,000 BP as the beginning of worldwide global disruptions that finally led to the disappearance of both Atlantis and Mu (Lemuria). It is also interesting to note that the huge lava tubes of Undara (north Queensland, Australia) are over 100 kilometres long and are dated to approximately 200,000 BP. They certainly point to massive volcanic activity in Australia at a crucial time.
Prior to this time, Cayce's reading indicates that the north pole was somewhere near Mozambique in Africa, though other indicators suggest nearby Uganda. This general location for a north pole would appear to be much more stable than the present location. Under these conditions, Australia, Antarctica and Atlantis, would all have been on the equator.
Additional evidence on the nature of the present and past solar system is given in Chapter 7. The situation may well be more complex than suggested above, but the additional complexities do not, in any way, detract from the simpler form of the case being made here.
Assuming an original orbital period of 3654 years for the Sumerian's planet Nibiru [ planet of crossing], then it would have made twenty six circuits from its initial appearance in about 200 000 years BP till the probable original flood of Noah in 105 000 years BP. Reasons for placing it at this time were given by the author 32. Persisting with the same average orbital period of 3654 years, it would have made a further fifteen orbits from the flood of Noah to the loss of the motherland of Mu in approximately 50 000 years BP.
The Ross Sea sea cores 23 indicate that Antarctica was unglaciated from about 133 000 years BP to about 173 000 years BP. If we take these two dates as approximate markers for appearances near Earth of planet Nibiru, it seems likely that the appearance of about 174 400 years BP, with an associated axis tilt, resulted in Antarctica entirely losing its coastal glaciation (accumulated over about 180 000 years) about 1400 years later, which is consistent with the ca 42 000 years BP event. Eleven circuits of Nibiru later, at about 134 200 years BP, there appears to have been another axis tilt which caused Antarctica to regain its glaciation about 1200 years later, compared with the 7500 years BP event, when it appeared to take about 1500 years.
