The Traditions of a Lost Motherland 

Rumours of a long lost motherland of mankind abound. They include the clear statements given by James Churchward's translations of ancient Burmese / Indian records ³¹ . These speak about a lost triple island continent of Mu which, aeons ago sank beneath the Pacific Ocean a month's sailing distance to the east of Burma. The semi-mythical three lost Isles of the Blessed are recalled by the Chinese traditions as existing before an inclination of the heavens (ie. an axis tilt). Ruth Montgomery ⁷² , under inspiration, wrote of Mu and Lemuria interchangeably as being the motherland and spoke of its demise as occurring some 50,000 years ago, while Edgar Cayce places a tilt of the earth's axis at that same time slot. 

The psychic, Edgar Cayce, was predominantly concerned with a different lost continent called Atlantis. This was a land that Plato ^{73, 74} says was colonised by the god Poseiden, and so could not be the motherland herself. Even so, Cayce occasionally mentions both Mu and Lemuria, but as though they are interchangeable names for much the same location. Even Churchward, the most prolific writer about the motherland, makes this same mistake in respect to Mu and Lemuria. 

The mistake by the geologically uninformed Churchward is the least explicable of the three for he quotes information contrary to his assumptions ³¹ in referring to a translation of the Cotlex Cortesianus [an old Mayan (central American) book that is now preserved in the National Museum of Madrid, Spain]. This translation clearly indicates that a fatherland (Homen -presumably Lemuria) emerged from the ocean as the motherland of Mu was destroyed and lost: 

"By his strong arm Homen caused the earth to tremble after sunset ,and during the night Mu, the country of the hills of earth was submerged. " Mu, the life of the basin (seas) was submerged by Homen during the night." 

"The place of the dead ruler is now lifeless, it moves no more, after having twice jumped from its foundations: the king of the deep, while forcing his way out, has shaken it up and down, has killed it, has submerged it." 

"Twice Mu jumped from her foundations; it was then sacrificed by fire. It burst while being shaken up and down violently by earthquakes. By kicking it, the wizard that makes all things move like a mass of worms, sacrificed it that very night. " 

Churchward also quotes from the Troana Manuscript which tells us that: 

"in the year. (date meaningless to us). .there occurred terrific earthquakes which continued until . . . without interruption. The country of the hills of earth - the land of Mu - was sacrificed. Twice upheaved, it disappeared during the night, having been constantly shaken by the fires of the underneath. Being confined, these caused the land to rise and to sink several times in various places. At last the surface gave way and the ten countries (or tribes) were torn asunder and scattered. They sank with their 64, 000, 000 inhabitants 8060 years before the writing of this book." 

Churchward also quotes the Lhasa Record (from Tibet), as translated by the noted archaeologist Schliemann, which seems to give supplementary information: 

"When the star of Bal fell on the Place where now is only the sky and the sea, the seven cities with their golden gates and transparent temples, quivered and shook like the leaves in a storm; and behold a flood of fire and smoke arose from the palaces. Agonies and cries of the multitude filled the air. ' They sought refuge in their temples and citadels, and the wise Mu -. . . . . . Ra Mu - arose and said to them: ' Did I not predict all this?' And the women and the men in their precious stones and shining garments lamented 'Mu, save us!' and Mu replied' You shall all die together with your servants and your riches, and from your ashes new nations shall arise. If they forget they are superior not because of what they put on but what they put out the same will befall them. ' Flames and smoke choked the words of Mu; the land and its inhabitants were torn to pieces and swallowed by the depths " 

Churchward tells us that Le Plongeon found records in Yucatan (central America) stating that "the . . . . head of the Land of Mu prophesied its destruction, and that some, heeding the prophecy, left and went to the colonies where they were saved. " Le Plongeon's death occurred many years before Schliemann published the Lhasa record, so there was unlikely to be collaboration here. 

Churchward shows us fascinating symbolic drawings from the ancient Indian / Burmese records which link the motherland of Mu with the Tau (Tee) cross, and with an animal referred to as a leaping deer (symbolic of the first man). This "deer" stands on its hind legs, while it has only short front legs and a long tail. It is like no other deer that ever lived. But it does resemble an artist's attempt to depict a kangaroo from a second hand verbal description (figure15). In fact, Australians to this day refer to "old man" kangaroo, while kangaroo meat tastes very like deer meat and the kangaroo is the archetype of all "leapers". 

Churchward authoritatively links the symbol of an eye within an equilateral triangle with the ancient motherland. He suggests that the three sides of the triangle represent the three islands of the ancient triple island continent of Mu, and that the eye represents the creator himself. By way of confirmation, this "eye" in its various forms was known to the ancient Egyptians as a symbol of the god Horus (son of the chief goddess Isis and heir to the authority of the chief god Ra). Above both of these divinities the ancient Egyptians placed El, the Holy Spirit from which all other forms condensed or emanated. Are these merely pagan symbols? 

As an indication of the relevance of this ancient knowledge to modern times, the Lord God is said to have blessed the Biblical patriarch Jacob and renamed him Israel, so that his descendants would become Isrcrelis. By process of gematria, a word manipulation technique akin to numerology and said to have been revealed to the descendants of Israel by God, the word Israelis is an anagram for Isis, Ra, El, the ancient Egyptian trinity. But then, does not scripture say that God will call his son out of Egypt? 

Nostradamus, in quatrain 4-15 speaks of a land which he refers to as the "eye of the sea". He also refers to a land (quat 1-50) which he designates as "the aquatic triplicity". Tasmania, Australia and New Guinea are all geologically part of the one piece of continental shelf and, as such, are a triple island continent. If one examines a world map, based on the Mercator projection, but with Australia in the centre (figure 16), one can clearly see Australia as the "eye of the sea", enclosed within something approaching a triangular expanse of ocean. Eyre's rock could be thought of as a kind of pupil in that eye. Viewed in this way, Australia is truly the centre or hub of the inhabited world. We have previously seen Mu referred to in ancient writings as the "life of the basin (seas)." 

The eye within the triangle is not merely an ancient symbol. On July 1, 1962, at Garabandal in Spain, a group of children claim to have received a vision of the Virgin. To quote Garrison ⁷⁵ : "On the Virgin's right, they could see a square of red, framing a triangle with an eye, and some writing. The lettering was in an odd oriental script." 

We need to consider what knowledge the ancients intended to convey when they devised their various symbols. The question of whether or not their knowledge was accurate is a quite separate matter to the question of what it was that they believed to be true. Let us first look at their symbology as a means of understanding what our ancestors believed to be true, and then decide for ourselves whether they were right. 

In the Garabandal vision ⁶⁹ we have the Virgin mother of the living God closely associated with the ancient symbol of the virgin motherland of mankind, and with its eastern (oriental) location. The colour red potentially refers to the "red spot" on Jupiter, the "red spot" being the original "eye of Horus". (See top left corner of Figure 17) . This "red spot" has also been visualised as the mouth from which the original "Word" of creation was uttered and from which the ancient Egyptians believed that the divine twins Shu and Tefnut (Neptune and Uranus) were born or, more specifically, were spat out. In Christian Holy Grail mythos, this red spot has been viewed as the bleeding wound of the King, from which issues the Holy Spirit. On the equatorial belt of Jupiter are three fixed white spots which form an equilateral triangle, and these appear to be the archetype for the three graces, the three muses, the three fates, and the three nails by which Jesus the Christ was held to the cross of Calvary. 

There are many now willing to speculate, or even to affirm that the planet Earth is a living goddess. It is no great step from this to also speculate as to whether or not the ancients may have been correct in regarding another planet (Jupiter) as a living god and indeed the King of the gods.. The planet Saturn with her beautiful triple rings was the ancient thrice crowned Queen of Heaven, Earth and Hell. The royal matings of Jupiter and Saturn ( their conjunctions as seen from Earth) occurred at twenty year intervals and were revered by the ancients as an important time keeping period. The orbital periods of Uranus / Athena (goddess of wisdom and war) took 84 years each, or seven times that of Jupiter's twelve years. Hence Wisdom's temple (her orbit) has seven pillars, as stated in the Bible (Proverbs 9,1). Let the reader decide for himself / herself whether these concepts have any modern day meaning. 

The four sided square of the Garabandal vision potentially refers to the four major satellites of Jupiter, spoken of by the ancient Egyptians as the "four sons of Horus" or the "four rudders of heaven." (Jesus himself had four special disciples and suffered four wounds from nails. Likewise, just as Jesus had twelve disciples in all, Jupiter has an orbital period of twelve years.) The approximate orbital periods of these four satellites in days (ie 2, 3.5, 7, 17) play important roles in the prophetic periods set by God in the Bible and elsewhere. To what purpose if not to tell us something? Examples include: 

As a connection between the different Jupiterian satellite orbital periods in prophecy, the reputedly wise Daniel refers to a certain period as "two times, a time, and half a time". This gives us both the 2.0 times and the 3.5 times in one example, since 3.5 = 2 + 1 + 0.5. Three and a half times of two units each gives us 7.0 units, so it could be argued that we have linked together 2.0, 3.5 and 7.0, just in this one statement. Alternatively, if we add two "times" of seven units to one "time" of two units and a half "time" of two units, we get seventeen (17) units in all. Perhaps this is coincidental? 

The best known example of the use of two (2.0) is the two Jupiter / Saturn conjunction periods (ie 2 X 20 years) that the Hebrews were forced to wander in the wilderness under Moses in punishment for the 2 X 20 days of disobedience to the Lord God. There is also the 2 X 20 days that Jesus spent in the wilderness after his baptism. 

The 3.5 "times" appears in its primal form in the book of Daniel and in the 3.5 "days" mentioned in the Book of Revelations. It also appears in a secondary form in Revelations as 3.5 years (42 months or 1260 days) and as the 70 years (3.5 Jupiter / Saturn conjunction periods) during which the nation of Judah was in exile in Babylon..

The seven times of punishment is referred to in Leviticus 26,18 (in respect to the nations of Israel and Judah), and also in the book of Daniel where the King of Babylon is punished seven "times" for his presumption. and in order that "thereby the living will know that the Most High is sovereign in the kingdom of men; he gives the kingdom to whom he will and he may set over it the humblest of mankind." 

The number seventeen appears in the Bible directly as the day of the month on which Noah's flood began and the day of the month on which it concluded. It appears twice in esoteric form in the New Testament within the 153 fish caught by the disciples of Jesus after his resurrection. The number 153 equals the sum of the first seventeen whole numbers. The number 153 also equals seventeen times the divine ennead (nine) of the ancient Egyptians. As such, it is of great importance in the ancient sacred geometry. Furthermore, seventeen years elapsed between the murder of Charles I by a legally treasonous English Parliament / Judiciary and the Great Fire of London in 1666, a fire that Nostradamus clearly foresaw would be divine punishment for the murder of God's anointed king. Many examples of 17 "times" relate to the Papacy. 

The numbers 2 and 7 might well exist for any number of reasons, but where else might 3.5 and 17 come from, and why else are all four linked to prophetic periods? 

The Premol prophecies were written on an ancient manuscript found at Premol Monastery near Grenoble, France, back in 1783 . The prophecy is said to open with these words ⁷⁵ : 

"The spirit conducted me into the heavens and said to me: 'It is written that the Archangel Michael will do battle with the Dragon before the Triangle of God.' Then the spirit added: Open the doors of your understanding; the Archangel and the Dragon are the two spirits that will contend for the kingdom of Jerusalem; and the Triangle is the glory of the Almighty. " 

This prophecy seemingly forewarns us of a future conflict between incarnations of Michael / St George / Jupiter / Amen / Horus and the ancient rebel Belial, the Father of Lies; a conflict seemingly due to occur within the ancient motherland of humankind, presumably at sometime near the beginning of the Age of Aquarius (which began 5/1/1992 - Refer to astrological notes.) When referring to these incarnations, it should not be thought that the entire God head could be contained within any human being. Rather should it be envisaged that the God head and Belial would use individuals as a focus for a minuscule part of their beings. After all, a magnifying glass may focus a little of the radiation of the sun into an intense image of the sun, but neither the magnifying glass nor the image it produces is the sun. In essence, this creation of a spirit focus appears to be what is meant when the Bible talks of the Spirit of God resting upon a human being as was reported in respect to Jesus and many others. 

Let us summarise a few loose ends. According to the ancient Egyptians' hieroglyphics, the astrological sign of Aquarius is ruled by Horus (ie. Jupiter / Amen / Michael / St George). Australia was first settled in 1788 with the sun in Aquarius, thus linking Australia to both Aquarius and Horus. The eye in the triangle which symbolises Mu / Australia is also the symbol of the "eye of Horus" (or the "red spot" of the planet Jupiter). This original "eye" of Jupiter is itself linked with an equilateral triangle of fixed "white spots" in Jupiter's equatorial atmospheric belt. 

Nostradamus (quat 1-50) states that:

"From the aquatic Triplicity shall be born
One who shall make Thursday his holiday
His fame, praise, rule and power shall grow,
By land and sea, to become a tempest to the East. "

Thursday is traditionally sacred to Jupiter (or Horus), who is here again linked by prophecy to an incarnation in the ancient motherland, which was and is the "aquatic triplicity". 

There is ample evidence to support the contention that Australia is the ancient motherland of Mu, the land where, about two million years ago, Chinese tradition tells us that prototypes of humankind rose to true civilization ⁷⁶ . Isaiah 33, 17-22 seemingly talks of this our land of Australia: 

"Your eyes shall see a king in his splendour and will look upon a land of far distances. . . . . Look upon Zion, city of our solemn feasts, let your eyes rest upon Jerusalem, a land of comfort, a tent that will never be shifted, whose pegs shall never be pulled up, not one of its ropes cast loose. There we have the Lord's majesty; it will be a place of rivers and broad streams; but no galleys shall be rowed there, no stately ship sail by. for the Lord our judge, the Lord our lawgiver, the Lord our King - he himself will save us." 

In no way can this spacious well watered land of Jerusalem spoken of by Isaiah be identified as the Jerusalem in the land of modern Israel, or with modern Israel itself. It can be shown that the ancient motherland is both the true Jerusalem and the true Babylon, the land where our ancestors once developed a star spanning civilization. There, under guidance, they learned to tap abundant energy from the Earth's demonstrable enormous electro-static charge, but faulty technology in the cosmic power tapping industry led to a horrendous accident caused when a tower without adequate safeguards was struck by an incomprehensibly powerful bolt of lightning. 

The intense noise resulting from this tragedy resulted in industrial deafness for many of the population, screening out from their hearing all high frequency sound, and making the spoken language an unintelligible babble to those so afflicted. In this manner the once single universal language of humankind was then confused by self-inflicted industrial deafness (not by a jealous Creator), and we ceased to have a universal means of spoken communication. This event is still remembered in both the Tarot cards and in stories of the Tower of Babel as given in the Bible. See picture of Tarot card. 

Relevant information on the original motherland (or Eden) seems to be given in Doresse's "The Secret Books of the Egyptian Gnostics " published by Hollis & Carter - London. On page 161, we find" 

"Numerous traditions [exist], relating as much to the cave of Adam as to the Magi, located in the land of Shyr or of Seir, beyond the inhabited world to the East, near the great Ocean. There rises the Mountain of Victories or Mount of the Lord (a tradition already to be found in the Avesta). Here, it seems, was the Cave in which Adam deposited the treasures which the Magi, one day were to carry to Bethlehem. He and his successors were buried there". 

This seems to point to somewhere on the eastern coast of Australia, near some notable mountain (Mount Warning?) . On page 168 of "The Secret Books of the Egyptian Gnostics " we find: 

"it is then that Justice - one of the powers of Sabaoth - creates a paradise , remote from the cycles of the Moon and Sun, in a land of delights. There is found the Tree of Life, which is to render immortal the souls of the Just who are rising above matter. It grows up even to the sky; its beautiful branches are like those of the cypress and its fruits are like bunches of white grapes. The Tree of Knowledge grows here too: its branches are like those of the fig tree and its fruit similar to the date. " 

The trees described here seem to be very close descriptions of the indigenous Australian "White Cedar" (Melia azedarach var. australasica) and "Blue Fig" (Elaeocarpus grandis). Justice is she who holds the scales of Libra or Judgement. Australia was settled with Libra in mid-heaven and became a Commonwealth with Libra in the ascendant. On page 187 we find: 

"it is in that place that the word was made manifest at the beginning. Then the earth trembled and the towns were shaken; the birds fed to satiety upon their dead. The earth and the universe became a desert. Then, when the times were accomplished, perversity arose to extremity. It was then that the Archon of the Occident and the Orient set to work to educate mankind in his malignity and to undo all the teaching and counsels of the Wisdom of Truth.

Then opened a new period , which altered the circumstances. For now came the time when the little child had grown up in its innocence. Then, the Archons sent to this man their Counterfeiter They were all looking to him [the perverse one] to perform a prodigy etc" 

The Egyptian gnostics thus give us directions to the motherland in the East, they give us botanic knowledge of two trees that grow on the edge of the Great Ocean, information which corroborates the information on the kangaroo given by the Naacals in Burma / India. They mention a mountain of the Lord which has apparently been associated with a major victory of some sort. They describe our growing up in innocence under the teachings of the Creator; they describe a traumatic catastrophe with the subsequent growth of extreme perversity; and then describe the appearance amongst us of the malign Father of Lies at a time soon after the devastation.
