The Significance of Astrological Ages.

Introduction:

Astrology is an ancient and long-honoured science. Only in recent times has it fallen into disrepute in certain quarters, after certain of its past functions were taken over by its daughter, Astronomy.

Rabbi Joel C. Dobin's fascinating book, "The Astrological Secrets of the Hebrew Sages", makes it very clear how true astrology is inextricably meshed with the Bible, our main western reference dealing with the activities of our Creator.

There is very little doubt in my mind that Astrology as it is now known is the degenerate remnants of a previous very advanced science. Modern discoveries about the nature of the universe are adding more and more credence to concepts that even a few years ago would have seemed insupportable to a rational, technically orientated mind. The more we learn about our own true nature and the incredibly complex electro-magnetic nature of our solar system, galaxy and universe, the more credible astrology becomes.

Assuming the existence of a creator for our universe, no person could rationally argue against the hypothesis that He would use a natural timekeeper like the orbiting of the planets, as a means of regulating his creative activities. This view seems to be fully supported by the inspired verse of the prophet Habakkuk, in the new and accurate translation given by Rabbi Joel C. Dobin:

Habakkuk 3,2-4:

"O Lord, I have heard the report of Thee.
I am in awe of Thy work, O Lord
It lives in the course of the years,
It shall become known by means of the years.

God shall come from the direction of Capricorn-Aquarius
And the Holy One from (the direction of) Mount Paran (Sinai) Selah
And the Moon, like the Sun, will be rays at his side
And therein will be the secret of his power. "

The Basis of Astrology:

Astrology, like its daughter Astronomy, is concerned with the apparent movement of the planets (also Sun and Moon), relative to the fixed stars. All of these celestial objects, as seen from Earth, seem to trace paths along a roadway in the sky referred to as the ecliptic. (As seen from a vantage point outside the solar system, the planets including the Earth and its satellite, the moon, all circle within a relatively flat plane that passes through the centre of the Sun and is known as the plane of the ecliptic.) As a relatively short-term timekeeping device, the position of the planets as seen from Earth is all that really matters.

Astrology has traditionally broken up the path of the ecliptic into sections. Over the last two thousand odd years, different schools have broken the ecliptic up into twelve, thirteen or sixteen parts, but now the school favouring twelve parts has almost totally prevailed. Astronomy has taken over the twelve division ecliptic (zodiac) from its mother science, astrology. These twelve divisions are now called Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Different characteristics are related to different sections of the sky. A complete set of constellations also have these names.

By tradition and apparently as a result of a divine command to Moses, the year begins with the Spring Equinox of the northern hemisphere. On this day, daylight and night are of equal length, and the length of daylight is increasing in the northern hemisphere (exact opposite in southern hemisphere).

The length of daylight varies during the course of the year because of the tilt of the Earth's axis and its orbit around the sun. Over short periods of time, the tilt of the Earth's axis (about which it spins) is just about constant relative to the fixed stars.

However, over longer periods of time, the tilt of the Earth's axis undergoes periodic change relative to the fixed stars with each cycle taking a Great Year now known accurately as 25,873.24 tropical years, each comprised of 365.256328 solar days.

As a result of this slow change in tilt of the Earth's axis relative to the fixed stars, the position of the Sun at the northern Spring equinox also drifts relative to the fixed stars.

The position of the northern spring equinox slowly drifts backwards through the zodiac. Whereas about 165 BC, the northern spring equinox occurred when the Sun was just leaving the fixed star constellation known as Pisces ( ie entering Aries), it now occurs about 30 degrees away, with the Sun just leaving Aquarius ( ie entering Pisces). Since, by tradition / divine command, the astrological year always begins at the northern spring equinox, and the next thirty degrees of Zodiac is, by definition, Aries, then the astrological zodiac and the fixed stars only ever agree for a relatively short period every 25,873 years. Though somewhat confusing for short-term use, this arrangement is very convenient for the long term timekeeping of say a creator God.

Because of the lack of such things as digital calculators over the last few thousand years, it has not been possible to routinely compute planetary positions as they will be or have been. As a consequence, useful approximations have been made, in particular the approximation that Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions occur every twenty years (actually 19.859274208 tropical years, or 7,253.445227 solar days). For convenience's sake, the great year of the precession of the Equinoxes was approximated at 1296 Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions, compared with the accurate value of 1302.83. This results in an error of about 0.5% (No of conjunctions) and 0.19% (in time), but in a great simplification in ease of computation. It also permits the Great Year to be broken up into twelve prophetic "months", or "Ages", each of 2160 years or 108 Jupiter / Saturn conjunctions (computed as 20 years each).

Rabbi Joel C. Dobin identifies the Jupiter / Saturn conjunction of just after midnight on January 1st, 1981, as the beginning of the astrological Age of Aquarius. Given that he is correct, then we can calculate that the Age of Pisces (the Fishes) began 108 Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions before that, in 165 BC (based on an accurate conjunction period). In the year 165 BC, the Temple of Jerusalem was cleansed by the Maccabees, and the Festival of Lights (HANUKKAH) was instituted. Even on the basis of the past predilections of the learned, it would be quite inconceivable that the Festival of Lights did not, that first time, co-incide with a Jupiter / Saturn conjunction. Later JESUS, born of a Virgin, had Fishermen for disciples. The Hebrew letter NUN signifies "fish" and the Christian Church has nuns who are also virgins, The Pope ordained eating fish on Friday.

Since, at this first cleansing of the Temple in 165 BC, the astrological zodiac and the fixed star zodiac aligned, it is an obvious place for the Great Year to commence, even if not necessarily the correct place,

One twelfth of the accurately measured Great Year is almost exactly 2156 years compared with the Hebrew approximation of 2160 years. On this basis, irrespective of the approximation given by Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions, if the Age of Pisces began in 165 BC, as seems to be corroborated by events in ancient Jerusalem (Palestine), then the astrological "Age of Aquarius" began in 1992 with the new moon in Capricorn, (as it was in 165 BC). This new moon on 5/1/1992 (in Australia) was associated with a solar eclipse at 13 deg. 51 min of Capricorn, conjunct Uranus at 13 deg. 53 min Capricorn, conjunct Neptune at 16 deg 21 min Capricorn -conjunct Dragon's Head at 9 deg 5 1 min of Capricorn.

This occasion (the beginning of the new Age) was truly a Festival of Lights, and occurred the day before Epiphany, the day celebrating the recognition of the infant Jesus by the Magi.

Going back 2156 years from 165 BC gives us 2321 BC, the time of Abraham, according to Muslim scholars. When Abraham was about 100 ( ie about 2220 BC), the Ram was sacrificed, celebrating the advent of the Age of Aries/Libra and the end of the previous age of Taurus/Scorpio. The Hebrews at the time of Moses seem to have included some slow learners, since a number still wanted their golden calf idol, a matter that got Moses rather cross; though he did lift up a brazen serpent.

The Age of Taurus began in 4477 BC, with Gemini in 6633 BC, Cancer in 8789 BC and Leo in 10945 BC. According to Edgar Cayce, The Great Pyramid of Giza was begun 10,490 BC and finished 10390 BC (555 years after the start of Leo). The Sphinx of Leo/Aquarius is clearly part of the complex, so astrology supports Cayce.

By tradition, each Age corresponds to the sun in the spring equinox for both northern and southern hemispheres, so each sign for the northern hemisphere is mated with the opposite sign for the southern hemisphere. Hence, since the last days of Atlantis, we have had Leo/Aquarius, Cancer/Capricorn, Gemini/Sagittarius, Taurus/Scorpio, Aries/Libra, Pisces/Virgo, and we are now back to Aquarius/Leo, six full "Ages" away from the construction of the Great Pyramid/ Sphinx complex.

I felt 5/1/1992 was of particular importance due to the solar eclipse conjunct Uranus, Neptune and Dragon's Head. so I looked further into the matter and found more surprising information.

For practical purposes , Uranus and Neptune are the outermost true planets of our solar system, so their average conjunction period of 171.388534680 tropical years is an important timekeeper, in some ways more useful than the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction period of 19.859274208 tropical years that was approximated at 20 years and used extensively by the ancients. Within 0.025%, there are exactly 151 Uranus/Neptune conjunctions within a Great Year (1302.83 Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions).

I believe that this article makes it virtually certain that the Age of Pisces began in 165 BC with the new moon in Capricorn, and that its beginning co-incided with a Jupiter/Saturn conjunction, as did the beginning of so many ancient eras (refer to Maurice Chatelain "Our Ancestors Came From Space"). Exactly one twelfth of an accurately measured Great Year away from the beginning of the Age of Pisces brings us to the New Moon of Capricorn, which coincides with a solar eclipse conjunct the outermost two true planets in our solar system, plus the Dragon's head.

As a true beginning for the complete Great Year, it could be argued that it would be better to use a Uranus/Neptune conjunction, especially one linked to a conjunct solar eclipse. To make this the start of the Great year, all that would be necessary would be to use the northern vernal equinox to define the beginning of astrological Pisces rather than astrological Aries. This would make the astrological zodiac and the fixed star zodiac align in our time.

Strictly speaking, since there are almost exactly 151 full conjunction cycles of Uranus/Neptune in a Great Year (with only one of them ever co-inciding with the ending of a prophetic "month" of 2156 years), the Great Year would , almost eternally, renew itself with a Uranus/Neptune conjunction occurring at the transition of an Age of Pisces to that of Aquarius. Given the evidence for very advanced astrological/astronomical knowledge in the distant past ( eg Nineveh Constant referred to by Maurice Chatelain in "Our Ancestors Came Front Space".), then it is virtually certain that my present suggestion conforms with the past practice of those who developed the true science of astrology, a science which we have inherited in a decayed form.

While the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction system would still provide a basis for defining the prophetic "months" or "Ages", the Uranus/Neptune conjunction period is clearly superior for defining the beginning and end of the Great Year itself.

The astrological Age of Pisces / Virgo has been clearly defined by a Jupiter/Saturn conjunction at its beginning, and a Uranus/Neptune conjunction at its end. This, in itself, would provide a sort of rationale for now making Pisces the first sign of the astrological zodiac. We have here, in a sense, the fulfilment of the biblical injunction that the truth must be established by the testimony of at least two witnesses. We also have a reality which co-incides with a cryptic statement attributed to Jesus. ie "The first will be last and the last will be first."

Because of the backwards drift of the northern vernal equinox through the signs of the zodiac, the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction of 165 BC marks the end of the star sign of Pisces, while the Uranus/Neptune conjunction of 1992 (also 1993), marks the beginning of the star sign of Pisces. Hence, in a very real way, that prophecy of Jesus has now been fulfilled! Truly, we live in momentous times!

To re-define the beginning of the astrological zodiac would play merry hell with the popular sun sign horoscopes published in magazines etc, but no true astrologer would pay any attention to those, in any case. The relative positions of all planets must be considered as a whole, if anything even possibly meaningful is to be learned from a horoscope.

Edgar Cayce's "inspired" dates of 10 490 BC for the beginning of the Great Pyramid of Giza and 10 390 BC for its ending, both appear to co-incide with Jupiter / Saturn conjunctions. This is consistent with the pre-dilection that the ancients seem to have had for Jupiter Saturn conjunctions. The next Jupiter/Saturn conjunction (28/5/2000), will be the 624th since 10,390 BC. ( 624 = 12* 13 * 16), when the Great Pyramid of Giza was completed. The factors 12, 13, and 16 represent the three ancient numbers of parts into which the zodiac is divided. The importance of the year 2000 AD in astrological reckoning would be known to both the Lord God and the Father of lies. One is free to wonder whether this has any bearing on the perceived need by some to turn Australia from a Constitutional Monarchy into a republic by the year 2000 AD.

Note:

The astrological significations for Australia are very important. It is a historic fact that Governor Phillip arrived in Botany Bay on 18/1/1778, when the sun was in Capricorn, but found this site unsuited to settlement. It is a historic fact that Governor Phillip arrived at Sydney Cove on the evening of 25/1/1788, just in front of two French exploratory ships spotted at Botany Bay. This provided impetus to his actions. He sent a crew ashore first thing the next morning, apparently at daybreak, to clear a site and erect a flagpole. At some time during that same afternoon, the Union Jack was officially raised in the presence of Philip and his officers, and toasts were drunk. If we consider those workmen to rate as the first settlers, rather than the officers who were beholden to the UK, and only on temporary duty here, then we can place the true first landing / settlement of Australia at daybreak on 26/1/1788. Sunrise at the latitude of Sydney would have been at approximately 5.20 am on that day, with the sun in 6 degrees of Aquarius. Daybreak would have been half an hour or so earlier, with Capricorn in the ascendant, the sun in Aquarius, and Libra in mid-heaven.

It is a matter of historic fact that Australia became a Commonwealth by royal decree at a moment past midnight on the morning of 1/1/1901, with the sun in Capricorn, Libra in the ascendant, and Cancer in mid-heaven.

Based on sun-signs, Australia seems closely tied to the adjacent signs Capricorn / Aquarius, with Capricorn being the more prominent. The sign of Libra (the balances of judgement) are also conspicuous, both at settlement (mid-heaven) and at the creation of the Commonwealth (ascendant). Australia can thus be visualised in astrological terms as the land mass of Capricorn / Aquarius, and the Kingdom of Libra (or Judgement).
