Thomas Eldridge and Maria Lewis Ingram were both born at Bath, Somerset England and they married there on 22 Jan 1822. Thomas was a tailor and their children were all born at Bath. They were living at Arundel Court, St. Swithins Somerset with four of their children when the 1851 English census was taken. They later moved to Islington, London and were at 17 Moon Street with their son Edwin on the 1871 census. They both died at that address in 1879, Thomas on 27 Feb and Maria on 25 May.
Their son Thomas married Ann Elizabeth Foulger Price. On the 1871 English census he was a hairdresser and they were shown as aged 47 and 49 respectively and both born at Bath. They were living at 228 Upper Street Islington, London with their children Thomas W age 21, Sidney F age 12 and Albert F age 10 all shown as being born at Islington. Thomas and Ann and some of their children are also at the same address on the 1881 census. Their sons Sidney, Albert and Walter migrated to Australia.

Sydney (sic) Frank Alfred Eldridge died on 19 Jul 1919 at Denistone Hospital, Eastwood, New South Wales and was shown as being aged 61. He had not married and was said to have spent 36 years in NSW suggesting he migrated circa 1883.
Albert Fredk Eldridge, warehouseman age 27 and Walter Danl Eldridge hairdresser age 23 are shown on the departure passenger list for the Hankow that left London in March 1887 for Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. They are both listed amongst the passengers with the ship when it arrived at Sydney. The Sydney Morning Herald of Wednesday 11 May 1887 reports on page 8 that the Hankow arrived on 10 May "from London, via Plymouth March 7, via Las Palmas March 13, Cape Town April 1, Adelaide April 27, and Melbourne 7th instant".
Albert Frederic Eldridge, a warehouseman, married on 31 Aug 1889 at St Stevens Church of England, Newtown, New South Wales to Emma Venning, born in Devonshire, England the daughter of John Venning, a farmer and Mary Ann Pearen. Following their marriage Albert and Emma moved to Queensland where their son Albert Frederic was born on 18 Oct 1890 at The Valley, Brisbane. Albert and Emma both died in QLD, on 4 Oct 1936 and 23 Nov 1940 respectively.
Walter Daniel returned to England as he was living with his two children Alice and Arthur in the household of his brother Harry Charles at Hornsey when the 1901 census was taken.
Janet Eldridge, the great great great granddaughter of Thomas and Maria migrated to Australia from Southampton England on 1 Jan 1966. She married Heinrich Steiner, a German born migrant, on 11 Jul 1967 at Brisbane QLD. She died on 17 Jan 1983 at the Royal Brisbane Hospital QLD.
