Richard Eldridge migrated from London on 29 Aug 1873 on the 670 ton Alexandrina and arrived at Rockhampton Queensland on 7 Dec 1873 and he was recorded as a single male assisted passenger aged 20. He was shown as a bootmaker aged 24 born at Bayswater, Middlesex, England the son of Robert Eldridge with his mother unknown when he married on 25 Jul 1876 at Rockhampton to Emma Cameron, a widow aged 34. She was shown as the daughter of Thomas McCaul and Sarah Ann Walker and was born in Essex, England. They had one child, Elizabeth born on 10 Mar 1878 at Springsure QLD. Richard died on 13 Sep 1881 and Emma later remarried on 30 Sep 1887 at Charters Towers to John Williams. She was then shown as aged 46 the daughter of Thomas Cole and Sarah Ann Walker. Emma died on 15 Nov 1903.
Elizabeth married on 3 Mar 1897 to James Hill McPherson, a sugar boiler born on 30 Oct 1865 at Lanarkshire, Scotland. They had nine children. James died on 31 Jan 1944 at Innisfail QLD and Elizabeth on 20 Oct 1953 at Brisbane QLD.
